Orbach Family Wines are off to Hong Kong!

It's been a little while since these two teamed up together: Our winemaker Josef Orbach, and label designer John Jewell share a passion for beautiful design, and delicious wine! They'll be flying off next week to be part of the Australian Wine contingent at VINEXPO in Hong Kong and will be show casing our Side Gate Wines and a variety of innovative export labels.

Pinot lovers rejoice: WE WON BRONZE!

For a small family wine business in the gigantic world of wine, we are packing a punch!! And so, we’re very proud to announce our recent win at the London International Wine Competition 2018 with our 2017 Pinot Noir Adelaide Hills. A bronze is no mean feat in this show amongst shows. Worthy of note: No Pinot Noir’s were allocated a Gold and one Silver went to Santa Barbara, USA. This win has confirmed our place as a serious wine company dedicated to delivering great quality wines at very fair prices. ANDE'S RECIPE: OYSTER PATTIES

Many years ago I visited New Zealand and had a Paura fritter in a Wellington Fish and Chip Shop I have never forgotten that taste. Oh to have one again. However I am a Pescatorian and love Oysters, preferably freshly shucked. But there are those times when you over cater. After our recent Oyster night at Side Gate HQ we had a few dozen spare– Josef purchased 80 dozen wooooooah!! ANDE'S RECIPE: HOME MADE GOATS MILK YOGURT

Recently diagnosed as lactose intolerant to cows milk; Ande Orbach decided to make her own natural organic yogurt free of any chemicals or additives. A visit to a goat’s milk dairy on the Mornington Peninsular www.mainridgedairy.com.au resulted in eating some fantastic artisan cheeses (see images) and returning home with 2 liters of fresh goats milk.
